The Source and Summit Series

The Source and Summit series results from the combined efforts of the Dominican Liturgical Center, Christianitas, the AA Publishing House and the M Publishing House. The series presents classical western works on the liturgy which were previously unavailable in Polish.

The first volume, Sacrament and Mystery, is a collection of Joseph Ratzinger’s articles. The volume includes texts concerning liturgical reform, the sacramental dimensions of the human life, and the sacrificial nature of the Eucharist. The collection expresses Ratzinger’s deep experience of Christ in the liturgy and his deep spirituality.

The series continues with Liturgia a osobowość, a compilation of Dietrich von Hildebrand’s early works. These texts present God’s Church as a natural environment that shapes human attitudes.

Many of Robert F. Taft’s pieces are collected in the third volume, Beyond East and West: Problems in Liturgical Understanding, which was published in 2014.

Works by Paul F Bradshaw regarding the study of early liturgy, are contained the fourth book, The Search for the Origins of Christian Worship.

The fifth book, Theologia Prima: What is Liturgical Theology, includes texts by David W. Fagerburg.

A sixth book, Worship as Revelation: The Past, Present, and Future of Catholic Liturgy, will contain texts from Laurence Paul Hemming.

The promotional interview for the first volume is accessible at Liturgia.pl.

The editors responsible for the project are Tomasz Dekert, Tomasz Grabowski OP, Piotr Kaznowski, Michał Koza, Paweł Milcarek, and Krzysztof Porosło.
